Two working days

Our commitment is to respond to every enquiry within two working days of receipt. If we cannot answer substantively in that time, we will acknowledge your message and tell you when you can expect a full response.

Working days

Our team works Monday to Friday, excluding NSW public holidays. Enquiries received on weekends or public holidays are responded to on the next working day.

Privacy

We will never share your contact details with third parties. We retain enquiry records for twelve months and then delete them, unless you have asked to stay in touch beyond that period.

03

The questions we are asked most often, with the answers we would rather you had before you had to ask.

a.

Are donations tax-deductible?

We are currently working toward Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status with the Australian Taxation Office. Until that status is granted, donations to Cafkralu Foundation are not tax-deductible. We will announce publicly as soon as DGR status is in place. In the meantime, every dollar you give still goes directly to programs and the communities we serve.

b.

Can I volunteer with the foundation?

Yes. We work with volunteers across several areas — particularly communications and design, governance support, event coordination, and skilled pro bono work (legal, accounting, translation). Send us a message through the form above with a note about your skills and how much time you have available, and we will be in touch.

c.

Do you work outside New South Wales?

At present, all of our direct program delivery happens within greater metropolitan Sydney. We partner with a small number of national organisations whose work is consistent with our mission, but we do not yet operate programs of our own outside NSW. This may change as the foundation grows.

d.

How is my donation spent?

In the 2024–25 financial year, 94% of every dollar received went directly to programs and the communities we serve. The remaining 6% covers governance, reporting, and the small core operations that make the rest of the work possible. Full details are in our most recent annual report.

e.

Can my organisation partner with Cafkralu?

Possibly. We work with a range of partner organisations — community centres, schools, primary health networks, specialist service providers, and other charities. Send a message to our partnerships address with a brief description of your organisation and the kind of partnership you have in mind, and someone from the team will follow up.

04

We want this work to be reachable. Tell us how to make that easier.

If there is anything about how we communicate, where we meet, or how we run our programs that creates a barrier to your involvement, please tell us. We will do our best to address it, and we would rather hear about it early than late.
